Pastor David Emmons has been the pastor at the Five Point Parish since July of 2015. Prior to his service to these five congregations he served as pastor of several congregations in Wisconsin.
Born in 1966 in Worcester, Massachusetts, Pastor Emmons received he pre-ministerial training at Central New England College, and worked for many years as a business systems analyst, before entering the seminary. Pastor Emmons took his Biblical languages (Greek and Hebrew) at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato MN, in 1992, but then did not go to the seminary until 2002. He earned His M.Div. at Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, in 2006, and went on to complete his course-work for a Doctor of Ministry degree from this same institution. He has yet to complete his dissertation.
Pastor Emmons is married to Lisa (Bond) who is also a native of Massachusetts. They have four daughters (Gabrielle, Arianna, Natania, and Annaliese) and one son, Micah. As of 2016, Gabrielle (History/English), Arianna (Exercise Science/Nursing), and Natania (Theater/Music) are enrolled at Bethany Lutheran College, Mankato. Annaliese and Micah (as was Natania) are heavily involved at the Stebens Children’s Theater in Mason City.
